You have:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Studies/Management, Social Sciences or other related fields
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in writing policy advocacy outputs, and research
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in technical writing
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and proactive approach to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

The Policy and Advocacy Officer will support the project “Children Holistic Integration in Lasting Development Solutions for Climate Resilience and NDC”. The consultant will directly report to HEA Manager and will collaborate with the Project Coordinator in ensuring coherence towards project objectives. She/He is primarily responsible in technical writing and research in consultation with the sector experts. She/He should adhere to World Vision policies and guidelines, including safeguarding, data privacy, safety and security protocols and WV code of conduct; demonstrate a Christ-centered life and work in working with the communities, partners and stakeholders.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Leads technical writing on advocacy and policy documents: conduct research in DRR-CCAM in consultation with the sector experts in Health, Education, Protection, WASH, CCA, DRR, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate with HEA, Advocacy and External Engagement Manager for coherence and sustainability of advocacy. Coordinate with Technical Experts, and networks on CCA, DRR, Protection, WASH, Health, Nutrition, and Education.
  • Provide project documentations and report, Adapt strategies to changing circumstances and ensure programme integrity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Studies/Management, Social Sciences or other related fields
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in writing policy advocacy outputs, and research
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in technical writing • Demonstrated leadership abilities and proactive approach to implementation.
