Job Description Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant Band/ Level / Grade: 9A Department: Health and Nutrition programs Location: Yemen / Hodeida with frequent visits for IRC supported field sites (70% of work time at the field)

Scope of Work: IRC is seeking a highly motivated pharmacy Assistant to support the health & nutrition team in day-to-day tasks related to drug and medical commodities management.

Job Summary The pharmacist will work under the direct guidance of the H & N Manager and technical mentorship of Senior nutrition commodity tracking officer. The vacant will be accountable for Medicines Stock Management, , leading the Distribution Process from warehouses to the HFs at the filed level, Preparing the Stock Consumption Reports, Assessing and Verifying Medicines Status in the IRC WH and Conducting Spot Check Visits to the supported HFs.

Working Relations: 1. Regular & open communication on day-to-day tasks with HN manager, Senior field manager and technical managers. 2. Work internally with: Health & Nutrition program team, program quality team and support team. 3. Work externally with HWs, HFs manager, DHO manager and GHO officials

Responsibilities: - Produce daily, weekly and monthly consuming reports. - Provide basic information (dosage, usage, and distribution) about the prescribed drugs to patients/clients. - Produce timely distribution plans for all medical supplies, commodities and medicines. - Follow-up the field pharmacists’ performance. - Support logistical and financial departments in providing supporting documents in order to facilitate procurement and payments. - Prepare and review the drugs & medicines reports. - Visit and coordinate the pharmacists works and solve their problems that may occur. - Print and process all records, reports and prescriptions and deliver them to the targeted facilities. - Perform any other tasks that may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Requirements (Qualifications, Skills and Abilities): Essential: - Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy is mainly required. Master’s degree is an asset. - Minimum three years professional experience with drug management systems and NGO experience for at least 3 years. - Personal qualities: Relates and works well with people from different cultures, genders, religions and backgrounds, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and adaptable to handle pressure well. - Proficiency in English and Competence with Microsoft applications is highly required. - Very good reporting skills. - Attention on details and has very problem-solving skills.

Desirable: - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Capable of working collaborative with team members as teammate to achieve results.
