OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

L'objectif du programme est de renforcer l'appui du bureau pays de l'Organisation mondiale au Burundi, pour l'atteinte des objectifs nationaux en matiere de sante familiale et reproductive et de contribuer aux actions mondiales et regionales de sante publique. Le programme contribuera en outre au developpement et a la mise en œuvre des politiques et strategies nationales, des plans operationnels, des directives, normes et standards en matiere de la Sante Maternelle, Reproductive, du Genre, de la vaccination et de la nutrition. le programme aidera a renforcer l'appui du bureau pays del'Organisation mondiale de la sante au Burundi , pour l'atteinte des objectifs nationaux en matiere d'elimination, de controle et d'eradication des maladies evitables parla vaccination. Le programme contribuera en outre au developpement et a la mise en œuvre des politiques et strategies nationales, des plans operationnels, des directives, normes et standards en matiere de vaccination dans le cadre du plan d'action mondial pour la vaccination.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Le / la titulaire executera les taches suivantes:Appuyer l'elaboration des politiques, des strategies, des initiatives et plans de la mise en œuvre des interventions du PEV de routine, d'elimination de la rougeole/Fievre Jaune, du controle du tetanos maternel et neonatal, de la surveillance des maladies evitables par la vaccination y compris celles couvertes par les nouveaux vaccins. Appuyer le pays dans la mise en œuvre, le suivi et l'evaluation des activites du PEV de routine et d'elimination de la rougeole/Fievre Jaune, le controle du tetanos maternel et neonatal en lien avec les strategies mondiales et regionales.Contribuer a la collecte, l'analyse et le partage des informations sur les progres du pays vers l'atteinte des indicateurs mondiaux, regionaux et nationaux du PEV ; Appuyer le Ministere de la Sante dans le developpement du partenariat et la mobilisation des ressources pour l'introduction des nouveaux vaccins, le renforcement du Systeme de sante et la surveillance ; Assurer l'appui technique au pays dans le domaine du partenariat avec les ONG, la societe civile, les communautes en vue de l'atteinte des objectifs du programme, y compris l'equite vaccinale ;Contribuer aux initiatives d'integration des interventions cles pour la survie du couple Mere/Enfant.Executer toutes les autres taches connexes assignees parle superviseur direct et le coordonnateur du cluster.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: Diplome universitaire en medecine ou en sante publique ou dans un domaine connexe Desirable: Master en sante publique ou epidemiologie ou autre domaine connexe d'une universite reconnue a l'international Formation en gestion du PEV

Experience

Essential: Avoir une experience pratique d'au moins 2 annees en coordination et gestion du Programme Elargi de Vaccination au niveau national et sous-national, et la lutte contre les epidemies ;Experience averee de au moins 2 ans dans la gestion des interventions des maladies evitables par la vaccination, y compris la recherche operationnelle. Desirable: Une experience de travail avec les organisations du systeme des Nations Unies en general et de l'OMS en particulierExperience dans la mobilisation des ressources et l'elaboration des politiques.

Skills

Demontrer une connaissance approfondie des principes, pratiques, methodes et techniques des programmes de vaccination ; Etre dote d'une excellente capacite a analyser les donnees des maladies evitables par la vaccination et les donnees epidemiologiques liees, la synthese des informations et de presenter des conclusions claires et concises pour favoriser la prise de decision ; Avoir une comprehension approfondie en vaccination et lutte contre les maladies cibles du PEV.

REMUNERATION

Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at BIF 45,468,000 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
