Contract

This is a P-4 contract. This kind of contract is known as Professional and Director staff. It is normally internationally recruited only. It's a staff contract. It usually requires 7 years of experience, depending on education.

Salary

The salary for this job should be between 159,743 USD and 205,956 USD.

The Position:

The Personal Data Protection Specialist post is located at the Legal Unit (“LU”), Office of the Executive Director and reports to the Chief, Legal Unit (“LU”), Office of the Executive Director. In consultation with relevant stakeholders, the Personal Data Protection Specialist is responsible for conducting privacy risk assessments, leading the development of internal data protection and privacy policies and external privacy statements, developing a personal data protection roll-out strategy, leading the roll-out, serving as a focal point for internal and external inquiries concerning UNFPA's data protection and privacy policies, and serving as a focal point for breaches of UNFPA's data protection and privacy policies. The Personal Data Protection Specialist will mainstream personal data protection throughout UNFPA’s policy, programme and operational framework. In consultation with relevant stakeholders, the Personal Data Protection Specialist is responsible for conducting privacy risk assessments, leading the development and review of internal data protection and privacy policies and external privacy statements, developing a personal data protection roll-out strategy, leading the roll-out, serving as a focal point for internal and external inquiries concerning UNFPA's data protection and privacy policies, and serving as a focal point for breaches of UNFPA's data protection and privacy policies.
