Overview

Lead the strategic direction and implementation of recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.

You have:

  • Degree level or equivalent vocational study in fields such as Management, Human Resource Management
  • At least 7+ Years of relevant experience with 3 years on a senior level in Talent acquisition and development areas
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives
  • Experience providing full-scope training materials, from analysing needs to lesson planning, development, and implementation
  • Experience creating yearly training plans and materials for all departments
  • Excellent skills in presentation, facilitation, coaching, and creative thinking
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
  • Tangible experiences in developing guidelines or SOP is a must
  • Event management experience
  • Ability to influence without power

The Opportunity

The position holder will be responsible to lead the strategic direction and implementation of end to end recruitment process, onboarding, capacity development, performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement. The role ensures Plan International Ethiopia attracts, retains, develops, and engages high-quality talent while aligning HR practices with organizational goals, values, and safeguarding principles.

The Individual

  • Education: Degree level in fields such as Management, Human Resource Management
  • Minimum 7+ Years of relevant experience out of which at least 3 years in Managerial position in Talent acquisition and Learning and Development areas (not necessarily gained in an NGO or INGO) or demonstrated equivalent combination.
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives.
  • Experience providing full-scope training materials, from analysing needs to lesson planning, development, and implementation.
  • Experience creating yearly training plans and materials for all departments
  • Excellent skills in presentation, facilitation, coaching, and creative thinking.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.

Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)

  • Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
  • Ensures that Programme staff are properly inducted on and understands their role in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies;
  • Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day-to-day work.
  • Ensures that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International’s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and data are submitted.
