Overview

Manage daily operations of the Business Center and serve clients effectively.

You have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in inventory handling and serving clients in a demanding working environment or in a related setting.
  • Good knowledge of the English language is required.
  • French language skills are advantageous as English and French are the working languages of the UN.

Result of Service - The outcome of the above-mentioned duties will be a smoothly-run Business Center/UNCC-AA Memorabilia.

Work Location Addis Ababa

Expected duration Six(6) months with a possibility of extension.

Duties and Responsibilities Under the general supervision of the Chief, Conference Management and Interpretation Unit (CMIU), and the direct supervision of the Senior Marketing Assistant in the PCMS, the Individual Contractor shall perform the following duties - Handles the day to day activities of the Business Center/UNCC-AA Memorabilia through serving as a receptionist/cashier. The main duty involves supporting clients in their requirements that fall within the scope of the Business Center/UNCC-AA Memorabilia. - Issues invoices, collects cash from walk-in clients (meeting participants and others), and deposits cash at the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), ECA Branch. - Submits a daily deposit slip with corresponding invoice to the ECA-Finance and Budget Section and the Marketing Team. - Uploads relevant information about the Business Center on the Unite docs.

Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in inventory handling and serving clients in a very demanding working environment or experience in a related setting is required. Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Good knowledge of the English language is required.
