You have:
- Applicants to the internship shall be enrolled in the final academic year of the first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent) or in a graduate school programme, or have graduated with a university degree and must commence the internship within one year of graduation.
- Advanced knowledge of English is required.
- Working knowledge of French and Spanish is desirable.
- Experience with Canva is a plus.
- Strong research and analytical skills are required.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required.
- Advanced computer literacy, particularly regarding the use of major office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel).
- Accuracy, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities
BACKGROUND: The International Trade Centre is the joint agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization, which provides technical assistance and capacity building to policymakers, the private sector and trade and investment support organisations to help them use trade as an engine for sustainable growth and employment generation. ITC works to support the achievement of the sustainable Development Goals by connecting micro, small and medium enterprises to global value chains. By enabling small business export success in developing countries, ITC helps generate sustainable incomes and livelihoods, especially for women and youth while taking into consideration sustainable elements such as the environment and social responsibility. The International Trade Centre launched the SheTrades initiative to create an ecosystem of integrated solutions that empower women economically through greater integration in trade and investment. The Initiative ensures that the right capacities and conditions are present for women to trade and that they are supported by an ecosystem of market partners and effective support organizations. At the same time, SheTrades works to remove inequalities in the trade policy space that hinder women’s participation. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Under the overall guidance of the Head of SheTrades, DSIT/WYVC and direct supervision of the Partnerships Lead Officer, the selected candidate is expected to: 1. Undertake research and analysis with respect to the evolving economic situation of countries in the region, trends in the area of trade development, SME competitiveness; 2. Undertake research and analysis of strategic goals and priorities of development partners in the region, and help design effective resource mobilization approaches; 3. Supporting the organization of workshops and webinars; 4. Supporting the team with communication materials; 5. Assisting with the preparation of Memorandum of Understandings; 6. Drafting, formatting, designing, editing and posting original web site content/news stories, including graphics, photographs and video; 7. Maintaining databases; 8. Supporting monitoring and evaluation related activities - drafting surveys, evaluation forms; 9. Assisting with preparation of information and data for publications; 10. Assisting with any other tasks related to the SheTrades initiative when needed. Qualifications/special skills
EDUCATION Applicants to the internship shall, at the time of application, meet one of the following requirements: a) Be enrolled in the final academic year of the first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent); OR b) Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);OR c) Have graduated with a university degree (as defined above) and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation. SKILLS • Internet search skills; advanced computer literacy, particularly regarding the use of major office tools (e.g.: Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel). • Excellent written and verbal communications skills • Strong research and analytical skills • Accuracy, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines • Experience with Canva is a plus
Languages
