Overview

Support the Partnerships Unit in donor reporting and resource mobilization.

You have:

  • Experience supporting donor relations, partnerships, resource mobilization, grants management, programme support, or project coordination activities.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing donor reports, proposals, concept notes, briefing notes, presentations, meeting minutes, or other professional documents.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and present information from multiple sources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience using data visualization, reporting, information management, or CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms) is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality reports and correspondence in English.
  • Experience working with UN agencies, NGOs, government institutions, development partners, or donor-funded programmes is desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.

The UN Volunteer will be part of the Partnerships Unit at the World Food Programme (WFP) Lebanon Country Office in Beirut. The Partnerships Unit is responsible for donor relations, resource mobilization, grant management, donor reporting, strategic communications, and external engagement with institutional donors, government counterparts, UN agencies, and other stakeholders. WFP Lebanon implements a diverse portfolio of humanitarian and resilience programmes supporting vulnerable Lebanese, Syrian refugees, and other affected populations through cash-based assistance, school feeding, livelihoods support, emergency response, and social protection interventions. The Partnerships Unit plays a key role in securing and managing donor resources that enable these programmes and in ensuring accountability to funding partners. The UN Volunteer will support the Partnerships Unit in coordinating donor reporting, developing proposals and briefing materials, managing partnerships information, conducting data analysis and visualization, and facilitating collaboration with technical units across the Country Office. The assignment will contribute to strengthening WFP Lebanon's engagement with key donors and partners, enhancing resource mobilization efforts, and supporting the achievement of programme outcomes related to food security, resilience building, and social protection. Key stakeholders include government donors, UN agencies, development partners, national authorities, implementing partners, and internal WFP units including Programme, Monitoring and Evaluation, Budget and Programming, Supply Chain, Finance, and Communications

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Partnerships Officer or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer will:

-Collate and compile information from relevant units, including Programme and Budget & Programming, for inclusion in proposals, reports, briefings, correspondence, and other partnerships-related products.
-Respond to routine information requests and facilitate timely information sharing with internal stakeholders to support effective business operations and decision-making. -Process and manage routine administrative, financial, and systems-related tasks, including maintaining Salesforce records, reporting calendars, and donor-tracking tools. -Manage and maintain partnerships records and online repositories to ensure information is organized, accurate, and readily accessible. -Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across functional units to support coordination, information sharing, and service delivery. -Draft, review, and proofread reports, documents, presentations, and correspondence to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with established guidelines and quality standards. -Collect, organize, analyze, and visualize data to support evidence-based reporting, donor engagement, business information management, and decision-making. -Perform other duties and ad-hoc assignments as necessary to support the achievement of unit objectives and organizational priorities

As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials. This position is based in Beirut. National UN Volunteers are expected to be culturally sensitive and adjust to the prevailing culture and traditions.
