The purpose of this position is to ensure the successful management of grants funded by a variety of donors, and this will be achieved through the establishment and use of best practice project management systems, providing expert advice on donor requirements and regulations, by supporting contract negotiation and review and by helping to build staff capacity to ensure compliance with contractual and donor regulations. ROLE PURPOSE The Partnerships Officer will ensure that all steps of the partnership process are well implemented and that Plan’s partnership principles are integrated within the organisation’s role. He/She is responsible for implementing the partnership strategy for the Country Office, ensuring appropriate identification and assessment of partners, as well as developing partnerships, monitoring them and promoting mutual learnings. The role encompasses various types of partners such as youth groups, CBOs, local organisations, INGOs, UN agencies, ministries, the private sector, and others

DIMENSIONS OF THE ROLE Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Grants & Partnerships Manager, the Partnership Officer will be responsible for maintaining effective internal working relationships within Plan International, and maintaining a range of working relationships. the Partnerships Officer will work closely with a variety of functions to ensure that Plan International’s partnership steps and principles are implemented, including Programmes, Influencing, Finance, Grants, and others. He/She will also liaise with local, national and international partners of all types as needed.
