Duties and Responsibilities 1.Support joint UNCT(United Nations Country Team) strategic partnership for SDG(Sustainable Development Goal) achievement and resource mobilization for the UN Azerbaijan Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (2021-2025).

2.Work closely with the Resident Coordinator and the Head of RCO(Resident Coordinator Office) to support development partners’ coordination mechanism in Azerbaijan.

3.Work closely with the RCO Economist and other UN Country Team development finance experts to promote partnerships initiatives in support of financing for accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Qualifications/special skills Minimum first Level degree certificate is required. Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent degree) in business or public administration, sustainable development, social sciences, or related area is desirable.

A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience and track record in project/ programme management in the context of development cooperation or related area in Azerbaijan is required. Experience in preparing project/programme proposals required. Experience in developing and/or implementing partnership and resources mobilization strategies required. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are required

Languages Fluency in English and Azerbaijani is required.

Knowledge of another UN language is an asset.

Additional Information Outputs/ Work Assignments Work closely with the Global Compact Country Manager to strengthen UN Azerbaijan’s engagement with the private sector, including through the Global Compact Local Network. Support with the organization of events and meetings with partners. Provide secretariat support to the development partners’ coordination forum, Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment High-Level Advocacy Group (GEWE-HLAG), as well as co-leads the technical group of the GEWE-HLAG. Coordinate the mapping of development partners’ assistance to Azerbaijan and undertakes regular analysis of the development partnership landscape in Azerbaijan. Provide advice on partnership opportunities to drive financing for development options, instruments, modalities to the RC/UNCT, in alignment with the Common Country Analysis (CCA) and the Cooperation Framework. Explore options for potential establishment of a country-level pooled fund for SDGs, including on its thematic focus, in support of the Cooperation Framework implementation. Working in close collaboration with the RCO Economist and Global Compact Country Manager, ensures effective engagement of relevant counterparts, especially private sector, civil society and development partners, to develop engagement and partnerships around SDG financing.
