KEY TASKS (not all-inclusive, within delegated authority): 1. Support the Partnerships and Reporting Officer maintain and develop government and private sector partnerships in order to mobilise resources for WFP projects in Senegal. 2. Identify new fundraising opportunities and help with donor stewardship. 3. Collate data and contribute to preparation of timely proposals or reports to enable informed decision-making by senior stakeholders. 4. Prepare compelling advocacy materials to educate potential donors on the strategy, design, relevance and impact of WFP activities.

    ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT: The United Nations World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. The mission of WFP is to help the world achieve Zero Hunger in our lifetimes. Every day, WFP works worldwide to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry and that the poorest and most vulnerable, particularly women and children, can access the nutritious food they need. In Senegal, WFP operates under the Country Strategic Plan (CSP, 2019 -2023). Through integrated and gender-transformative activities, the CSP targets the most vulnerable rural populations, with school meals serving as an entry point in communities. MISSION PURPOSE: To support the Government Partnerships Officer (GPO) with partnerships development, resources mobilisation, grants management and reporting. The UNV will report to the GPO.

  • Volunteers: 2 needed

  • 1-5 hours per week / 24 weeks

    REQUIREMENTS: 1. Phd or Master Degree in Political Science, International Development, Development Economics, Marketing Communications or other relevant field, and/or related work experience 2. Ability to work in English (primarly) and French 3. Strong writing skills, attention to details, confidentiality (no sharing of WFP internal documents) 4. Passion for humanitarian work
