You have:
- 3 years of relevant experience in Partnerships, Reporting, or Programme roles, with a background and interest in international humanitarian development aid in bilateral, multilateral or non-government food aid/other international development aid programmes.
- Experience in Drafting high-quality reports, tailored to different audiences.
- Strong analytical skills, including a capacity to clearly confer information and findings to a variety of audiences.
- Knowledge of WFP Iraq is an asset.
- Previous experience with fundraising coordinating, negotiations and public relations/advocacy.
- Experience in relationship building/finance and data analysis.
- Has designed and managed all resource mobilization processes and resource strategies, negotiated contract terms and provided resourcing advice to managers.
- Has produced external communications and briefing materials.
- Has motivated team spirit and contributed to a gender-balanced, inclusive and sound working environment.

The primary purpose of this role is to support the External Relations Unit of the World Food Programme (WFP) in Iraq. The officer will be responsible for creating high-quality reports, drafts, and briefs to enhance the visibility of WFP's work and to support fundraising activities through effective donor engagement.
The position is vital for positioning WFP effectively with public, private, and external partners to attract policy support, resources, technical assistance, and innovative solutions to advance WFP's mission in the country.
The Partnerships and Reporting Officer will help WFP Iraq to:
Partnerships:
- Work with the External Relations Unit to implement the WFP Partnerships Resource Strategy, overseeing and delivering activities that identify, develop and maintain government partnerships, maximize funding, and deliver advantageous outcomes for the Country Office, including private sector and public funding opportunities.
- Manage the portfolio of partnerships, soliciting contributions, providing donor stewardship, forecasting needs and analyzing results to maximize resources raised.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with representatives of government donors in Baghdad and Erbil through formal channels to explore funding opportunities, considering funding priorities, trends, and requirements and coordinate donor meetings as well as attending when required.
- Proactively contribute to ideas and highlight fundraising opportunities for new strategies to maintain and increase funding from new and traditional donors.
- Draw up quality concept notes and partner proposals by engaging with other WFP entities and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the initiation process, internal approval of documents and coordination with the management on the agreements and MoUs
- Organize donor field visits to WFP Iraq programme operations in coordination with different units.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with the Government, UN agencies, NGOs, and other partners through appropriate channels, and participate in regular donor meetings.
- Support WFP Country Office in coordination with authorities, ensuring a coordinated approach with wider programmes that comply with WFP standards and procedures.
- Coordinate events between WFP and various Ministries and other stakeholders, including arranging and attending meetings, and facilitating joint activities.
- Prepare talking points for donor meetings and events and provide guidance and approval for briefing materials before dissemination.
- Drafting official letters to the donors and the government counterparts to foster coordination
- Gather, analyze and disseminate donor and partner intelligence (including forecasting), using key information systems (e.g. Salesforce, WINGS, WFPGo).
- Maintain a Masterfile of donor information, funding commitments, and projected funding for 2025 and beyond, providing regular updates and projections based on funding trends and forecasts.
- Facilitate the negotiation and signing of agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with donors and partners, ensuring clear terms and expectations for collaboration is set with the relevant WFP HQ units.
- Support the drafting of agreements and MoUs and follow up with relevant partners/internal units as necessary
Reporting:
- Prepare timely and accurate project reports and strategic documents to the donors and WFP Headquarters, in coordination with the WFP Country Office Team, WFP Regional Bureau, WFP Global offices and Headquarters.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data in WFP tools to support decision-making and reporting processes and discuss with the management accordingly.
- Collate and disseminate information from WFP Operations in Iraq for the preparation of the Annual Country Report (ACR) and ensure coherence and quality of performance information.
- Compile briefings and updates for donors and partners on the implementation of WFP activities; support the preparation of, talking points, donor factsheets and other documents when required.
- Initiate the drafts, sends for edit, then coordinates with programme colleagues for inputs for Internal Reports (Country Brief, Weekly Regional Director Updates, etc..) and External Reports to donors and the Government.
- Prepare timely and accurate donor reports, factsheets etc, documenting project activities, outcomes, and financial expenditures following donor requirements

As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials.
