BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian organization saving lives in emergencies and using food assistance to build a pathway to peace, stability and prosperity, for people recovering from conflict, disasters and the impact of climate change.

The Türkiye Country Office requires additional capacity to support expanding partnerships, donor reporting, and information management functions. The position will contribute to strengthening partner engagement while ensuring effective management, analysis, and dissemination of operational information to support programme implementation and decision-making.

The role combines partnerships and reporting functions with Information and Operational Management (OIM) responsibilities to ensure integrated support across units.

Under the supervision of the Head of Partnerships, the Partnerships and OIM Officer will support partner management processes, reporting, and information management systems, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality outputs aligned with WFP standards.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Partnerships and Partner Engagement

  • Support the management of relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring consistent and effective communication
  • Contribute to partnership development efforts, including preparation of concept notes, proposals, and briefing materials
  • Draft partner communications, visibility materials, talking points, and presentations
  • Support organization of partner meetings, missions, and high-level engagements
  • Track partnership pipelines and funding opportunities

2. Reporting

  • Coordinate and prepare donor reports in line with corporate requirements and agreed timelines
  • Consolidate inputs from programme, M&E, and other units into coherent, high-quality outputs
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of narrative and data across reports
  • Maintain reporting calendars and tracking tools to ensure timely submission

3. Information and Operational Management (OIM)

  • Support collection, organization, and analysis of programme data to inform decision-making
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, situation reports, and analytical products
  • Ensure data quality, coherence, and accessibility across relevant platforms
  • Contribute to strengthening information management systems and tools within the Country Office

4. Coordination and Cross-functional Support

  • Facilitate information flow between Partnerships, Programme, and other units
  • Support alignment between operational delivery and partner commitments
  • Provide support to internal planning, monitoring, and review processes
  • Perform other related duties as required

Timely and high-quality donor reports and communication products Functional reporting and tracking systems maintained and updated Analytical and information products supporting operational decision-making Effective coordination contributing to programme delivery and partner satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:

University degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Economics, Data Management, or other relevant field

Master or advanced degree is preferable.

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in partnerships, reporting, programme management, or information management, or relevant field
  • Demonstrated experience in donor reporting and partner engagement
  • Previous experience working with WFP or other UN agencies, particularly in programme implementation, partnerships, or reporting functions is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in managing or coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives involving government, private sector, and implementing partners is desirable
  • Experience providing capacity building, or technical guidance to partners or stakeholders is desirable

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong drafting and communication skills
  • Solid analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to support both strategic-level engagement and operational-level implementation
  • Strong ability to operate in fast-paced, multi-functional environments with evolving priorities
  • Proven capacity to synthesize inputs from multiple teams into coherent outputs under tight deadlines
  • Strong coordination and interpersonal skills

Languages****:

Fluency in English (level C) and Turkish required.
