This is a UNV National Youth contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Youth contracts.

The Partnerships and Advocacy Officer will work in the Partnership Unit under the supervision of the Partnership Specialist.

S/he will support the Partnerships Unit in implementing the Partnership and Communications Strategy in order to increase the visibility of UNOPS in the sub-region by communicating on our results and activities and support in building partnerships. S/he will also work closely with the Partnership team to support business development activities including research, business intelligence and proposal development as required.

The officer will liaise with all relevant internal colleagues to provide required support. S/he will play an important role in developing content for communications and partnerships materials, planning communications and outreach activities, knowledge management and dissemination of key messages to partner, donor and government development information.

Contributes inputs into development of strategies, proposals, project documents and concept notes related to resource mobilization and partnerships building. Their specific tasks will include;

●Support the Partnerships Specialist in establishing and maintaining a pipeline and portfolio of partnerships and actively work for the realization of the partnership objectives. ●Support the Partnerships Specialist in undertaking the internal review for engagement additions. ●Identification of partnership needs and opportunities working in collaboration with the Programme team ●Analysis and assessment of partnership opportunities through constant scanning of the environment and regular mapping of different donors and their requirements ●Support in development of partnerships with organizations with similar strategic goals as the Programme to ensure synergies and collaborations ●Outreach through meeting and other activities with donors, private sector donors, implementing partners and other potential partners; ●Identification of emerging sources of funding; assessment of their current usage and potential for the future. ●Identification of relevant private sector initiatives and partnerships, preparation and presentation of the partnerships for approval and endorsement

Provide support to the Partnership Unit in achieving the implementation of Communication and Advocacy for raising visibility for UNOPS and its initiatives. Their specific tasks will include; ●Support the preparation of external communication materials customized for target key audiences such as donors, UN agencies, governments, foundations, NGOs, civil society and the private sector for effective outreach among existing and potential partners. ●Support in managing the Pakistan social media channels, including producing regular content. ●Develop content, presentations, briefings, speaking points and other external communication material as required. ●Develop & design written content, including blogs, project factsheets, photo quotes, web stories, articles and press releases etc. ●Follow-up with Pakistan projects to ensure that the achievements of these projects are properly captured in the right communication formats for external outreach purposes. ●Assist in the development of articles and stories from Pakistan for internal communication channel ●Support in collating and organizing project information, images and other relevant documents required in Partnership Development. ●Brainstorm and pitch ideas for communications activities and content that promote the country strategy.

Facilitate knowledge building and knowledge sharing as required by the Partnerships Unit. Their specific tasks will include;

●Identification and synthesis of best practices and lessons learned directly linked to resource mobilization and partnership-building activities. ●Keeps updated on UNOPS SOPs and policies on resource mobilization, shares knowledge with the team and ensures their utilization. ●Contributions to knowledge networks and regional and global communities

As this is a national UNV assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials. UNV Field Unit will help you open a Pak rupee bank account with Standard Chartered Bank or any other local bank at your duty station.
