Partnership and Capacity Building Officer

Duty station: Dnipro or Kharkiv

Key working relationships: * Position Reports to: Sn PRoL Manager, Ukraine, * Internal collaborations within IRC: Partnership, WPE, CP, ERD, * External collaborations to IRC: Protection and information services actors, organizations and agencies.

Job Overview/Summary: The Partnership and Capacity Building Officer is a key position supporting the partnership component in Protection and Rule of Law (PRoL) sub-unit. With the overall objective of achieving high quality and compliant programming, the main goal of this position is to support a partnership portfolio within PRoL and as well as guide capacity building initiatives for PRoL staff. As guided by the Sn PRoL Manager, she/he will be responsible for planning, budgeting and successfully delivering the capacity building plans for partners and PRoL team. The role has no supervisory responsibilities but collaborates with other Protection sector staff.

Specifically, the Partnership and Capacity Building Officer will be responsible for:

- Work closely with Partnership team and oversee partnership portfolio within PRoL, including but not limited to: maintain close relationships with PRoL partners, conduct regular meetings and monitoring visits, make first review of partners’ reports, participate in proposals development, project opening and implementation meetings, etc. - Conduct a capacity needs assessment of partners and communicate findings to the supervisor for action. - Based on findings from the capacity needs assessment, develop partners’ capacity development plan and ensure its timely implementation. - Identify training needs of PRoL team, plan and organize capacity development events. - Work with Senior Officers and IMO to identify and propose priority training and capacity sessions staff and stakeholders. - Participate in Training of Trainers sessions to enable she/he roll-out of these trainings to other staff. - Ensure all respective sectors have access to training and professional development resources appropriate to their skill gaps/needs. - Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit, oversight and guidance to staff enabling successful performance of duties.
