The Position: The Operations Specialist leads the operations team of the Cox’s Bazar Sub-Office, providing advice in all aspects of the Sub-Office management, operations, finance, administration, procurement, information technology, and human resources, contributing operational expertise to facilitate the Humanitarian intervention and Nexus Development programme implementation in Cox’s Bazar. You will report directly to the Head of Cox’s Bazar Sub-Office and functionally to the International Operations Manager of the Bangladesh CO.

Job Purpose: The Operations Specialist (OS) ensures a fully accountable, well-managed and results-oriented Sub-Office of Cox’s Bazar. You will contribute your operational expertise to facilitate programme and project implementation in close collaboration with Programme staff and Operations unit across the CO. Participating in inter-agency coordination in Cox’s Bazar, you will foster a collaborative, client-oriented approach towards the UN community, supporting effective communication and cooperation within the entire Country Office (CO) as well as with the Region (RO) and Headquarters (HQ).

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: Advanced university degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology or other related disciplines.

Knowledge and Experience: • Five years of progressively responsible professional experience in administration, finance or office management. • Strong analytical and leadership skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT systems.

Languages: Fluency in English; knowledge of other official UN languages is preferable.
