The Position:

The Operations Specialist works within the regional operations team, providing advice in the areas of finance, administration, travel, procurement, information technology, programme management, and human resources, contributing operational expertise to facilitate programme implementation.

You will report to the Regional International Operations Manager.

Job Purpose:

Under the direct supervision of the Regional International Operations Manager (RIOM) the Operations Specialist (OS) will contribute her/his operational expertise to facilitate Regional Programme implementation in close collaboration with the RO’s programme staff. Participating in inter-agency coordination, you will foster a collaborative, client-oriented approach towards the RO’s programme team and UN community, supporting effective communication and cooperation with Headquarters (HQ).

Qualifications and Experience Education:

Advanced university degree in business administration, public administration, finance, human resources, information technology or other related discipline.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Five years of progressively responsible professional experience in administrative matters, finance, procurement, human resources management or office management. • Strong analytical and leadership skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT systems.

Languages:

Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of other official UN languages is desirable.
