What will you do in this position?

The objective of a country-level operational information management team is to ensure timely and coherent information flow both internally and externally. The Information Management Officer will report to the country office level Operational Information Management team, supporting in collecting, analyzing, and disseminating overall country office’s operational information.

How can you make a difference?

• Support the production of regular and ad-hoc reports as required within the operation, ensuring the key facts and figures are updated. Key products include Situation reports, Dashboards, Topic Briefs, and Daily Quick-Read-Outs. • Support to liaise with all functional areas as well as external partners, when appropriate, to collate and disseminate political and humanitarian analysis pertaining to WFP Ukraine’s current or future responses, donor policies, trends, and preferences to ensure country specific input to WFP’s operational reporting. • Support to collaborate with counterparts internally to ensure consistency in operational information. • Support the preparation of Annual Corporate Report (ACR) for the Annual Reporting Exercise in collaboration with the country office programme, monitoring & evaluation, logistics and resource management functions by coordinating to ensure coherence and quality of performance information, as required. • Facilitate the establishment, moderation, and maintenance of various mailing lists. • Support to standardize and execute quality control of country office level assessments and activity reports. • Support to streamline, augment, and maintain internal information management flow, developing centralized information database, and standardized reporting formats. Support to develop WFP Ukraine information products such as country brief and programme briefs.

• Support and train staff in the assigned area to ensure that standard OIM procedures and templates are followed to drive the quality, consistency and standardization of information management and performance reporting across WFP. • Collate relevant information and data from media and local internal and external sources to facilitate and maximize the exchange of information and data flow between functional area networks in WFP, to provide operational awareness and understanding of events that may have humanitarian and/or operational impact. • Provide feedback on activities associated with the Corporate Performance Reporting Improvements. • Support the initiatives for developing improved, streamlined, and harmonized OIM & performance reporting. • Support the assurance of defined quality standards in all processes and products. • Perform other tasks as required

Education: Advanced University degree in Political Science, Economics, Statistics, Information Management or Journalism, Business Management, Social Sciences or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses. Experience: A minimum of one year of postgraduate professional experience, preferably in Information Management, data management and analysis. Knowledge & Skills: - Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure as part of a team; - Good communication skills; excellent written and analytical skills; - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint - Experience in data management and analysis, coordination and reporting - Willingness to work in challenging environments/field locations. Language: Fluency in both oral and written English and in Ukrainian
