YPWC is currently looking for a volunteer who will help us in editing as well as coordination and implementation of contents for our website and social media platforms. Most of our programmes, centre around youth empowerment and engagement and enhancing the opportunity structure of young people. In most cases we use online tools and platforms to connect and organize young people around development issues. We are looking for 1-2 volunteers who will work coordinate, produce and edit contents for our website. YPWC will provide all the needed support including contents for volunteers to edit and advice on expectations as well.

Ghana is known to be one of the peaceful and economically growing countries in Africa. The nation and other developing countries have a youth population which obviously warrants government attention in addressing the needs of young people. Over the past years, a number of policies and programmes have been put in place to address the challenges young people face and also to empower them. YPWC is one of the youth organizations in Ghana that is championing the role of young people in development issues. We have found it needful to have a web platform (www.ypwc.org) as well as social media platforms ( https://twitter.com/ypwc and https://www.facebook.com/ypwc.org ) that help in connecting young people with development issues.
Volunteers: 2 needed
6-10 hours per week / 20 weeks

Knowledge about youth development and political economy. Excellent command over English in terms of writing and speaking. Previous experience developing communication or outreach strategies will be a useful asset. Selected volunteers will be offered an orientation to help them understand expectations better. We will use skype or whats app to facilitate communication.
