WFP seeks candidates of the highest integrity and professionalism who share our humanitarian principles.

Selection of staff is made on a competitive basis, and we are committed to promoting diversity and gender balance.

ABOUT WFP

The United Nations World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. The mission of WFP is to help the world achieve Zero Hunger in our lifetimes. Every day, WFP works worldwide to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry and that the poorest and most vulnerable, particularly women and children, can access the nutritious food they need.

WFP has been supporting the MoH since 2006 with the treatment of Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) in the ASALs. Between 2014 and 2018, WFP handed over responsibility for the MAM programme in nine semi-arid counties. Given the chronically high acute malnutrition prevalence in the arid counties, WFP will continue to support these counties with nutrition commodities, alongside capacity support within a jointly agreed framework for gradually handing over these programmes to county governments. WFP continues to provide capacity support to national and county governments for nutrition in the context of HIV and TB.
