About the job

Your main duties are listed below and may be revised as necessary:

• Gathering geographic information about mine-affected communities, threats from mines and EO, technical information, socio-economic conditions, follow-up activities, and impact of DDG activities on the communities, including information concerning mine and EO accidents

• Establishing a wide information network including authorities, communities, NGOs, and other possible sources of information

• Support team leader to conduct liaison with local representatives at different levels, in assigned areas of responsibility

• Assessing needs at village and community levels, and in order to support Team Leader in establishing priorities in cooperation with all stakeholders at the local level

• Analyzing gathered data, and where necessary disseminating of information.

• Ensuring that the NTS Team Leader is fully briefed on all issues during the Non-Technical Survey.

• Cooperating and coordinating closely with all humanitarian mine action activities.

• Ensuring that all information collected is accurately recorded in standard formats.

• Participate in Community Liaison.

Required

  • Vocational school. Higher education – is an asset.
  • Proven skills in communication.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English
  • Driving license

Desirable

  • NTS courses internal or external
  • Experience in working with local communities and authorities.
  • Working experience in INGO, community/refugee or migrants context is an asset;
  • IT skills; Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
