OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

The programme aims to support the expansion of universal health coverage through strengtheningthe health system including service, quality of care human resource planning and development, health financing and digital health in Tunisia

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

1) Ensure that WHO global, regional, and national recommendations and the National Health Policy in relation to expansion of universal health coverage are translated into action a bleand acceptable pathways for reform.2) Disseminate, promote and provide technical guidance to adapt and implement evidencebase policies and guidance developed by WHO on health system strengthening.3) Liaise with and create consensus among senior national decision makers around primaryhealth care reforms and health system strengthening.4) Liaise with officials in Ministry of Social Affairs and other national institutions to advocate for expansion of health coverage, in line with the National Health Policy5) Advocate and provide technical guidance for systematic approaches to digitalization andthe adoption of an underlying digital heath architecture.6) Review the on-going health sector reform agenda and its implementation in closeconsultation with Regional Office and health partners to better understand the existing challenges and gaps7) Liaise with all key stakeholders including health services providers, , scientific bodies, involved in the health system review processes to facilitate exchange of information and sharing of lessons learned from other countries undertaking relevant reform processes8) Liaise with the UN agencies and participate in task forces, thematic groups, with a focuson representing WHO in relevant areas9) Represent WHO in meetings and relevant missions as appropriate.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: First university degree in public health, epidemiology, international development, life sciences, or public administration. Desirable: Advanced university degree in public health and/or health related field.

Experience

Essential: At least 5 years' experience in areas of health systems or public health Desirable: Experience in working in national policy formulation and implementation

REMUNERATION

Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at TND 66,107 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
