  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience in economics, financial analysis, and management is required.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.

Result of Service

The incumbent will be responsible to take minutes of meetings for each session, drafting and finalizing the comprehensive report based on notes taken, incorporating feedback if necessary, and delivering the final report.

Duties and Responsibilities

Background: The International Community in Lebanon (ICC) is organizing a two-day retreat aimed at fostering a deeper and more constructive engagement with key national authorities. This retreat presents an opportunity to gain a clearer understanding of the vision of the government and key stakeholders for economic reform, including their plans for addressing macroeconomic stabilization, financial sector restructuring, debt sustainability, and social protection. Duties and Responsibilities: The individual contractor will be responsible for accurately documenting minutes and key points during the retreat, ensuring that all discussions, decisions, and action items are recorded clearly. They will draft the final report based on the notes taken, organizing it to reflect the agenda, discussions, and conclusions logically and coherently. Additionally, the individual contractor will support session facilitation by assisting facilitators in managing the flow of the session and helping create a conducive environment for discussions. It is important to keep sensitive discussions and data confidential and to prepare the required materials for note-taking before sessions

Qualifications/special skills

A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, International Studies, or related area is required. All candidates must submit a copy of the required educational degree. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience in economics, financial analysis and management is required.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat; and Arabic is a working language of ESCWA. For this position, fluency in English and Arabic is required. Note: “Fluency” equals a rating of ‘fluent’ in all four areas (speak, read, write, and understand) and “Knowledge of” equals a rating of ‘confident’ in two of the four areas.
