You have:
- Excellent written and spoken English skills are required.
- Experience in report writing is required.
- Familiarity with international development or cooperation issues is preferred.
- Knowledge of other UN official languages is an asset.

The 12th edition of DG Forum will be virtually co-organized by UNOSSC, JICA and the Islamic Development Bank in this March. The theme of 12th edition of DG Forum is “Trends, Opportunities and Challenges on the Path to Sustainable Development: Strengthening South-South Cooperation and Triangular Cooperation in the COVID-19 Context”. Two Online Volunteers will be assigned to ASIA session to be held on 18 March 2021 from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. EST. The assignment of this Online Volunteers is to take note in English during the session. Notes and a very brief summary will be sent one day after the session. Three weeks later, Online Volunteers will submit summary of the sessions which will be used for DG Forum report. Eventually the entire summary of the DG Forum will be published.

The annual DG Forum seeks to bring together leaders from cooperation agencies of national governments to provide an opportunity for them to exchange views on South-South cooperation and triangular cooperation approaches and methodologies, as well as to serve as match-making platform for further strengthening partnerships. The Forum is a platform for South-South cooperation and triangular cooperation that offers an opportunity to make proposals for further mainstreaming these modalities of cooperation and it is also open to other interested actors involved in South-South cooperation and triangular cooperation. This 12th DG Forum will be virtually co-organized by UNOSSC, JICA and the Islamic Development Bank in this March. The theme of 12th edition of DG Forum is “Trends, Opportunities and Challenges on the Path to Sustainable Development: Strengthening South-South Cooperation and Triangular Cooperation in the COVID-19 Context”. The plenary sessions will be held on 17 and 19 March and regional breakout sessions will be held on 17 and 18 March. The assignment of Online Volunteers is to take note in English during the assigned session and summarize it later on.

1-5 hours per week / 3 weeks
Those who are available for the specific assigned date/time will be selected. We would like to work with candidates who are familiar with or interested in international development or cooperation issues and those who have good experience in report writing. Excellent written and English is required, and knowledge of other UN official languages will be an asset.
