The JP works in 14 municipalities in five districts of Nepal (Achham, Bajura, Rautahat, Sarlahi, and Sunsari), in coordination with local governments as well as the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Under the overall authority of the Head of UNESCO Kathmandu office and direct supervision of the Project Coordinator of the JP and in close collaboration with the project management team, the Reporting Officer will provide support to all aspects of programme reporting. The incumbent will: Long Description ---------------- - Support the Project Coordinator in updating and maintaining all information on donor reporting of the JP, specifically, the 10th biannual narrative report, the 2021 annual narrative report, and the final narrative report, as follows: 1. Review all previous donor reporting documents including reports from implementing partners, final drafts of biannual narrative reports and annual reports submitted to the donor as well as UNFPA and UN Women’s biannual narrative reports and final narrative reports submitted to UNESCO. 2. Coordinate with programme staff to collect, review, and refine, relevant data and information for accurate reporting including sections on challenges, lessons learnt and good practices and draft the 10th biannual narrative report, the 2021 annual narrative report, and the final narrative report for HQ review. 3. For the 10th biannual narrative report, review the 9th biannual narrative report submitted by UN Women, and reflect relevant data, contents, and information, as necessary. 4. For the final narrative report, review the final narrative report submitted by UN Women, and UNFPA’s final narrative report already submitted, and reflect relevant data, contents, and information, as necessary. 5. Review lessons learned and recommendations from the Mid-term evaluation report and identify actions/changes implemented and improvements on the project based on the recommendations. 6. Ensure quality assurance and adherence to the criteria, style and formatting requirements set out in the donor reporting templates including layout and for checking the completeness. This includes compliance with UNESCO terminology and guidelines on the use of the logo and other communication needs. 7. Submit the final draft and revise if necessary to reflect HQs comments as necessary for donor submission Long Description ---------------- - Support the Project Coordinator in updating and maintaining all information on programme reporting requirements of the JP for every six months, including SISTER reporting and Programme Implementation Reporting (PIR), as follows: 1. Review the SISTER reporting template and previous SISTER and PIR reporting documents of the JP. 2. Coordinate with programme staff to collect, review, and refine, relevant data and information for accurate reporting and draft SISTER reporting within 7,000 characters including spaces. 3. Ensure quality assurance and adherence to the criteria and style requirements set out in the programme reporting templates by reviewing and editing the final draft of the reports. 4. Submit the final draft to the Project Coordinator for timely submission. - Undertake any other tasks on reporting as assigned by the Head of Office, Chief of Education and the Project Coordinator for the overall management and implementation of the JP.
