- Providing support to the Youth Futures Team in all aspects of program design and implementation, including: - Planning and preparing for afterschool program and summer camp activities. - Assisting with program logistics, including facilitating tutoring and supporting volunteer tutors. - Attending programs and helping with activities, including conducting one-on-one check-ins and assisting high school students with homework and college preparation. - Offering general administrative assistance as required. - Maintaining accurate documentation and organizing program-related files. - Collaborating in recruiting student participants for various projects and events. - Facilitating regular meetings to discuss progress, address concerns, and foster a supportive environment for students. - Supporting the team with home visits for students. - Researching community resources to support youth academic, vocational, and social needs.

Qualifications REQUIREMENTS:

- Excellent communication and writing skills. - High punctuality and professionalism. - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. - Ability to work independently as well as within a team, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment. - Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality in all interactions. - An interest in social justice, education, and refugee issues. - Comfortable accompanying youth program staff on home visits. - The ability to work a flexible schedule that occasionally includes evenings and weekends. - Strong desire to help people, and enthusiasm and sensitivity for working in a multi-cultural setting. - Familiarity with educational support and systems is preferred. - Experience working with youth and/or young adults is preferred. - A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle is preferred. - Proficiency in common client languages (Dari, Pashto, Arabic, Swahili, French, Burmese, Karen, etc.) is beneficial.
