The Ocean Decade will provide a common framework to ensure that ocean science can fully support actions to sustainably manage the ocean and contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Under the overall authority of the Director of UNESCO Regional Office for Eastern Africa, the direct supervision of the IOC Coordinator in Africa, the National Project Officer will contribute to the design, coordination and implementation of activities carried out under the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030).
