Result of Service
Individual contractor will provide capacity building, workshops, training and events management services as well as documentation support to the four technical working groups led by OHCHR under the UN Joint Programme for Human Rights. Results of Service will include the following:
Successful organisation of training and other events, including preparatory meetings, coordinating requirements with trainers/speakers and participants/guests and arranging logistical and administrative requirements for the events assigned and programmatic activities.
Effective liaison with counterparts for the scheduling and hosting of meetings, capacity building sessions, workshops, trainings, briefings and roundtables.
Support for visits of external guests, including coordination of schedules, drafting communications and other support.
Effective preparation of meeting and other logistical requirements in close cooperation with the Finance and Administration Officer, including liaison with service providers (caterers, hotels, suppliers etc)
Support for the preparation of information for reporting, including supporting documentation for the Steering Committee, programme evaluations and potential audit
Coordinating attendance, documentation and follow up of key technical working groups (particularly Accountability and Police Data)

Duties and Responsibilities
Liaison with key stakeholders for the organization and smooth running of events. This will include outreach to government departments
Support logistics and administrative organization of technical working group meetings, including drafting minutes and documentation,, engagement with working group members, identification of venues, scheduling and other tasks.
Support logistics and administrative aspects of the organization of UN Joint Programme Steering Committee meeting and related events, including diplomatic briefings and cross cutting events, including drafting of minutes and documentation, engagement with members, identification of venues, scheduling and other tasks.
Lead Information Risk Governance and Management (IRGM) for the project by ensuring that all documents are up to date on the UN Joint Programme documentation database (including minutes, means of programme verification, programme attendance lists etc).
Support on administrative aspects of preparation of UN Joint Programme reports.
Other administrative tasks as may be assigned
Qualifications/special skills
A first-level university degree in law, human rights, political science, international relations, social sciences or a related field is required. At least 5 years’ experience in providing events management, coordination, and support for clients, and/or secretariat services to a development, business, or civil society organization. At least 1 year experience with a UN agency Experience of online platforms such as Micrcosoft Teams and Zoom is required Experience in human rights or a related discipline is an advantage
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English and Filipino is required.
