Contract

This is a G-5 contract. This kind of contract is known as General Service and related categories. It is normally only for nationals. It usually requires 5 years of experience, depending on education.

The Position:

The Programme Assistant provides programmatic support in the planning and implementation of UNFPA work plans, as part of both country-specific activities. S/he contributes to the achievement of the UNFPA mandate as part of a team and provides programme, administrative and financial support in the office in implementation of the UNFPA Country Programme, including in humanitarian settings. The Programme Assistant reports to the Head of Maternal Health Unit.

Working within a Country Office environment, you will contribute to the effective management of the UNFPA country programme activities by analyzing and assessing relevant political, social and economic trends, and by providing inputs to project formulation and evaluation, joint programming initiatives and national development frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:
