- High School Diploma in Business Administration and additional Accounting studies is a plus
- 5 years financial and administrative experience in the public or private sector
- 2 years of experience in administrative processes in the UN System
- Proficiency in use of spreadsheets, word processing and computerized accounting systems
- Experience in Atlas/PeopleSoft is desirable
- Good writing and communication skills
- Fluency in oral and written Spanish
- Knowledge of English is desirable
Contract
This is a G-5 contract. This kind of contract is known as General Service and related categories. It is normally only for nationals. It usually requires 5 years of experience, depending on education.

The Administrative/Finance Assistant position is located in the Costa Rica Country
Office (CO). Under the guidance and supervision of the Administrative/Finance
Associate, the Administrative Assistant provides quality services in areas of
Administration, Finance and Procurement in compliance with the relevant rules,
guidelines, processes and procedures. She/He takes a client-oriented, results-
focused approach to interpreting the rules, procedures and guidelines, and
provides support and guidance to the CO.
Our ideal candidate has: Education: High School Diploma in Business Administration and additional Accounting studies is a plus. Knowledge and Experience: 5 years financial and administrative experience in the public or private sector; 2 years of experience in administrative processes in the UN System, including interpretation of financial rules, regulations and procedures; Proficiency in use of spreadsheets, word processing and computerized accounting systems; experience in Atlas/PeopleSoft is desirable Good writing and communication skills; Languages: Fluency in oral and written Spanish. Knowledge of English is desirable
