As part of the project, a nationwide call for mentor applications was conducted between November 2025 and June 2026. Following a rigorous selection process, including desk reviews and interviews around 800 mentors, and around 400 were selected. The project wants to archive the voices of the teachers and follow the selected mentors journey. To support this work, we are looking for a Junior National Consultant on Oral History. **ASSIGNMENTS** --------------- The Junior consultant will help transform recorded interviews with mentors into accurate written transcripts. The interviews capture personal experiences, professional trajectories, motivations, challenges, and reflections related to education, digital learning, ICT, AI, and teacher professional development in Uzbekistan. The collected testimonies will contribute to a publication and narrative documentation project centered on the voices and lived experiences of the selected mentors. Long Description ---------------- **DELIVERABLES** ---------------- Deliverable: Transcription and formatting of approximately 120- 150 hours of Uzbek-language and/or Russian laungage interview recordings with UNESCO mentor candidates and selected mentors, resulting in a complete set of verified transcripts ready for qualitative analysis and publication development. - Listen to and accurately transcribe interview recordings conducted in Uzbek and/or Russian. - Produce high-quality verbatim transcripts while preserving the authenticity of participants' voices. - Organize transcripts according to established project guidelines. - Flag inaudible sections, unclear passages, or technical issues. - Ensure consistency in formatting and file management. - Maintain strict confidentiality of all interview materials. - Support basic data organization and archiving of recordings and transcripts.
