Background

The UNDP project aims to support the Lebanese government in the design and implementation of a productive export-oriented sectors’ strategy that should help put back Lebanon on the growth path and support job creations, with a specific focus on vulnerable groups, specifically women and youth. This project comes under a larger framework, the Productive Sectors Development Programme (PSDP), which will be implemented by UNDP, UNIDO, FAO, ILO, UNWOMEN and UNICEF and which represents a comprehensive approach to supporting the manufacturing (agro-food) and agriculture sectors in Lebanon, identified as having a high potential for job generation for women and youth. One of the components of the project includes the development of an Export Portal for the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL) that would serve as the main tool / platform for international buyers to identify and buy Lebanese products in various productive sectors including Agro Food in the first phase. This new portal will be a sub-set of IDAL’s existing website and will be focused exclusively on exporters. This portal will need to follow IDAL’s general brand guidelines while at the same time have its own identify that will link to the larger export initiative that the UN agencies are supporting. Within this context, the graphic designer will coordinate with the team at the Ministry of Economy and Trade (MoET) and guide in the development of a general identify for the LEBTRADE portal (a new portal developed that is being developed by MoET to promote exports of agriculture products) as well as guide the identity of the Export Training Center in line with a general UN Export Support initiative. The graphic designer will also be responsible for developing all related banners and promotional materials that will be used to promote all 3 platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop a brand for IDAL’s new export platform including look and feel, identity and logo, while taking into account the new identify of IDAL • Develop a general look and feel for the UN export support initiative that will be used for the MoET LEBTRADE platform, IDAL Export platform, and Training center. It is important to note that the role of the graphic designer will be to coordinate with the graphic designer team of the Ministry of Economy and Trade and provide him / her with the general look and feel to follow for the portal. • Design the platform main page and sub-pages • Develop all promotional materials related to the IDAL export platform including brochures, web banners, flyers, invitation cards to be used during promotional events • Design the Exporter Directorate template (one component of the website) and design the final directory • Develop needed infographics and promotional banners for communication and promotion of the project activities • Develop needed infographics and promotional banners for communication and promotion of the LEBTRADE portal and Training center. Required Skills and Experience

Academic Qualifications: • A bachelor’s degree in graphic design is a must and with knowledge in social media tools and video editing being plus. Years of experience: • A minimum number of 4 years of work experience in the field of graphic design, with a preference to having previous experience in developing product / sector brands. Technical experience: • Knowledge of all design files / video is a must . The consultant should submit a Portfolio. • Knowledge of social media tools is a plus.
