Conduct a preliminary technical and economic feasibility study in Peru to establish the best applicable technology for the development of a comprehensive solid waste management project in the province of Urubamba, which involves the construction of a segregation and recovery plant for different materials, thus guaranteeing the useful life of the newly built Jahuacollay sanitary landfill.

The study will allow the local authorities to evaluate concrete measure and actions against climate change, promoting the circular economy, preserving nature by reducing the footprint of human beings on the planet, promoting sustainable development with the formalization of many small family businesses and the social promotion of them with the creation of new formal jobs in security. The study will be developed in two parts:

Review of existing studies:

  • Considerations and eventual criticisms of the studies carried out previously.
  • Identify data gaps in the available information.
  • The state of the current provincial waste management system, as well as the collection system, should also be considered.

Complementary studies to be carried out on site Carrying out a complementary investigation on the spot to receive the additional information necessary for this study.

Fluency in written and spoken Spanish is required.
