How can you make a difference?

under supervision of Education Specialist and under overall guidance from Chief of Education, supporting the National Directorate of Recurrent Education (DNES) of MoEYS to train, implement, and monitor of the 9 STEAM courses for youth at CLC in the select municipalities. The consultant will work with four youth volunteers who were involved in developing the 9 STEAM courses.

Work Assignment

  1. Develop training and implementation plan where the STEAM courses will be implemented for youth at CLC center in select municipalities
  2. Training and implementation of the courses in CLC of the select municipalities (Dili, Manatuto and Baucau). The consultant will work with four youth volunteers who were else involved in developing the courses
  3. Work with a local video company for dubbing of four out of the nine videos available on STEAM online courses from Tetun to English language
  4. Monitor the progress of training and implementation plans to ensure activities are implemented accordingly
  5. Write success stories or case study for communication and marketing purposes
  6. Prepare and submit monthly report and final report of the activity

Deliverables: Timely submission of monthly report.

Contract duration: January - May 2022

Proposed payment schedule: Monthly payment base on monthly deliverables

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, information technology, communication, or other relevant field. In lieu of a specific academic degree, relevant experience may be considered to meet this requirement.
  • Proven training and capacity building skills for different audiences.
  • Good technical understanding on Community Learning Center (CLCs) is a plus.
  • Good technical understanding and familiarity with program implementation and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint, Zoom, Google drive.
  • Ability to deliver timely and high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, coordination skills, and an ability to follow instructions, work under pressure as a part of a team, or independently.
  • Language requirement: English and Tetun
