Background:

In order to support the Government’s priorities in the field of export promotion for the long term, POiB plans to strengthen the capacity of local entrepreneurs in the field of international marketing and promotion of domestic products abroad. To help promote exports by nurturing skills and knowledge among national enterprises, the POiB will support the development of a new module on international marketing to complement the online Mini MBA course developed under the POiB SMEs’ project in 2020. The new module will cover topics such as international B2B, B2C marketing, International Marketing Entry, Risks associated with expansion, and others.

Objective of Assignment:

The POiB will contract one expert trainer to develop a training module on international marketing and to facilitate/coordinate the work of a supplier/company that will film/record the video session and upgrade the e-learning platform.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Programme Manager, the consultant will perform the following tasks and unrolling from September 05, 2022, to November 30, 2022, the work will include:

  1. Developing a training module that will consist of the following topics:
  • Introduction to the International marketing;
  • Driving forces of International Marketing;
  • Targeting, Positioning, International Product, International Promotion, International Place, and International Price;
  • Cross Country & Cross Industry Innovation approach;
  • Types of entry strategies to International Market;
  • Risks associated with expansion & risk mitigation plans;
  • International Business Case Analysis & probable solutions (two/three different cases); studies –Direct Entry Strategy, Make or Buy decision.
  1. Developing pre-post tests;
  2. Working with the supplier/company to film/record the training session;
  3. Coordinating/facilitating work of the supplier in producing video sessions, uploading the video session into the e-learning platform, and upgrading the platform;
  4. Submitting filled-in M&E forms and consolidated summary report to the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek upon the completion of the whole course.

Deliverables:

  • Developed training module on international marketing;
  • Filmed/recorded training session;
  • Questions for pre-/post-tests to measure the participants’ increased knowledge, results of the pre-/post-tests;
  • Uploaded video training sessions into the e-learning platform;
  • Upgraded e-learning platform;
  • SSA Deliverable report for the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, according to the special reporting form.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Higher education in Business Management, Economics, Marketing, Finance or International Development or other related fields;
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in conducting training, seminars, and courses on issues of business planning, marketing, accounting, strategic management, etc.;
  • Good understanding of the social, economic, and political situation in the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • Proven experience in developing training modules and materials. Experience in the development of Marketing and Sales documents, publications, reports, and presentations;
  • Work experience in international organizations or in development projects is an asset;
  • Work experience in private companies is desirable;
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills;
  • Excellent skills in written and spoken Russian; working knowledge of Kyrgyz will be a strong advantage;
  • Fully-computer literate. Excellent command of MS Office applications;
  • Flexibility, ability to work under minimum supervision and deliver against tight deadlines.

Remuneration Package:

Remuneration will be based on the selected consultant's/expert's qualifications, experience, the tasks and deliverables for this position and in accordance with the OSCE established rates.
