Lead strategy for UNGP implementation in Colombia.

You have:

  • HS Diploma is required.
  • Degree in Law, Human Rights, or similar is desirable.
  • Advance degree in Human Rights, International Public Law or similar is desirable.
  • Education in Human Rights and Business is desirable.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in Business & Human Rights is required.
  • Meaningful experience in Business and Human Rights agenda in the country and in regional capacity building experiences is desirable.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.

Result of Service

Lead a strategy to promote the implementation of the UNGP in Colombia, by engaging, offering technical assessment and facilitate capacity building to state actors, business associations and organizations, and civil society organizations and right holders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support, develop and follow up on activities related to business and human rights, and responsible business conduct in Latin America and the Caribbean, referring to the implementation of the CERALC Project in Colombia and the regional activities. - Fostering partnerships with relevant national stakeholders, in particular in the extractive, agrobusiness and finance sectors; and continuing ongoing partnerships related to business and human rights. - Support, exchange information and coordinate activities relating to business and human rights within the CERALC Project with OHCHR, EU, ILO and OECD. - Monitor relevant developments and actions in the national context relating to responsible business conduct and business and human rights. - Provide support and capacity building to national stakeholders relating to the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, especially considering actors from the Justice System. - Elaborate relevant materials on responsible business conduct and business and human rights as requested.

Qualifications/special skills

HS Diploma is required. Degree in Law, Human Rights, or similar is desirable. Advance degree in Human Rights, International Public Law or similar is desirable. Education in Human Rights and Business is desirable. At least 10 years of relevant experience in Business & Human Rights is required. Meaningful experience in Business and Human Rights agenda in the country and in regional capacity building experiences is desirable.
