How can you make a difference?

Under supervision of Chief Education, assist with the design of an orientation campaign involving strengthening the role of parents in the following areas: • Raising awareness of parents and community about ways to prevent the spread of COVID 19 at home and school; ▪ Helping parents strengthen prevention efforts and reduce future effects of similar or related outbreaks by providing support and promoting safe hygiene practices; ▪ Enabling parents to assist children’s learning at home and become partners in children’s learning especially children from more vulnerable groups;

WORK ASSIGNMENT:

1). Develop an inception report to detail the approach, methodology and realistic timings for the various phases of the assignment (5 days)

2). Based on already existing materials ; a) Develop materials for a ToT for facilitators and b). Assist in the training of facilitators (12 days)

3) . Assist with necessary ToT and field training as appropriate (13 days)

4). Provide a final report on the overall consultancy to feed into an overall evaluation of the GPE program (10 days)

DELIVERABLES:

1. Inception report by December 2020

2. ToT and report on ToT conducted by December 2020

3. Report on training by January 2021

4. Report on the consultancy February, 2021

DURATION OF ASSIGNMENT: 40 working days spread over from November 2020 - February 2021

PROPOSED PAYMENT SCHEDULE: based on deliverables

  • 10% upon submission of deliverable 1
  • 30% upon submission of deliverable 2
  • 30% upon submission of deliverable 3
  • 30% upon submission of deliverable 4

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Bachelor degree in education, social sciences or relevant field
  • At least 5 years’ experience of work in the field of education or community mobilization
  • Experience of drafting training materials
  • Experience of group facilitation
  • Excellent written communication and report writing skills
  • Advanced level knowledge of Tetun
  • Ability to communicate in English

Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
