Result of Service

  1. Participate in weekly meetings with the Media & Strategic Marketing Advisor to provide updates, monitor progress, and ensure deliverables are executed on time by the Communication agency and all parties involved. 2. Create the Season 2 database to collect data from thousands of contestants (starting point) for the monitoring exercise and make sure it is updated it periodically – by 12 August 2024. 3. Update the scoring sheet with details of all contestants registered – by 12 August 2024. 4. Manage the contestants who have registered making sure they are briefed in on how to complete the training and understand their deliverables – by 12 August 2024. 5. Ensure readers are scoring timely and efficiently the thousands of submissions to select 100 contestants entering auditions – by 12 August 2024. 6. Monitor the Online marketing campaign through the various channels and provide and monitoring report – by 30 September 2024. 7. Brief the contestants on the Contestants’ Manual and competition activities. Provide a written recap – throughout the competition (from 12 August to 30 October 2024). 8. Compile the list of the 100 candidates invited to the online auditions and brief them via zoom about the terms of participation and prepare them for the auditions (one week before auditions) – by 12 August 2024. 9. Prepare a final report to present the contestants to the Jurors ahead of the auditions – by 12 August 2024. 10. Coordinate with the Outreach partner to make sure the 100 contestants receive the internet allowance for the online auditions – by 12 August 2024. 11. Ensure all contestants participate to the online auditions on their slot being on time and with good internet connection – by 17 August 2024. 12. Follow up on the performance of the candidates throughout the online auditions proving the scoring sheets and the list of the 20 to be admitted to the business incubation – by 25 August 2024. 13. Coordinate with the Outreach partner to make sure the 20 contestants receive the internet allowance for the business incubation, and the 16 contestants receive the transport allowance to participate to the pitching camp – by 25 August 2024. 14. Report on masterclass participation carried out – by 30 August 2024. 15. Obtain from the Communication agency the marketing plan for the Grand Finale – by 30 August 2024. 16. Deliver a detailed report about the Call for Entry on audience, views, reach, engagement and other relevant data – by 15 September 2024. 17. Follow up on the performance of the candidates throughout the business incubation and pitching camp providing the scoring sheet and the list of the finalists – by 14 September 2024. 18. Survey on business incubation participation carried out – by 30 September 2024. 19. Survey on production incubation participation carried out – by 30 October 2024. 20. Follow up on the performance of the candidates throughout the production incubation – by 30 October 2024. 21. Monitoring the implementation of the Production Incubation by regularly assessing and overseeing the progress of the production incubation - by 30 October 2024. 22. Collaborate with the vendors appointed to ensure business and production incubation adherence to set timelines and objectives - by 30 October 2024. 23. Monitor the finalists' training progress from the production incubation to the bootcamp and the production of their mini project for the Grand Finale - by 30 October 2024. 24. Draft, together with the vendor selected, the Creative Camp’ Manual and manage the winners’ expectations about the Motion picture to be produced, making sure they are briefed in on the creative camp and understand their deliverables - by 30 October 2024. 25. Assist on the implementation and execution of a smooth bootcamp - by 30 October 2024. 26. Coordinate with the communication agency and relevant stakeholders to ensure that the promotion of the Grand Finale event is implemented (providing report of the promotional activity) - by 15 November 2024. 27. Ensure that ITCs reporting documents and forms are filled in and signed by all contestants and file all copies digitally - by 15 November 2024. 28. Brief the 6 winners on the Creative Camp’ Manual and activities. Provide a written recap - by 15 November 2024. 29. Collaborate with the vendor appointed to ensure Creative Camp adherence to set timelines and objectives - by 20 December 2024. 30. Monitor the winners' presence and progress at the beginning of the Creative Camp and the pre-production of their joint Motion Picture - by 20 December 2024. 31. Coordinate with the communication agency and relevant stakeholders to ensure that the promotion of the Premiere and broadcast is implemented (providing report of the promotional activity) - by 15 January 2025. 32. Monitoring the implementation of the beginning of the Creative Camp by regularly assessing and overseeing the progress of the Motion Picture Production and postproduction phase - by 30 January 2025. 33. Final Survey to all OAH participants carried out - by 30 January 2025. 34. Collect information from different vendors and partners for the preparation of the final project report - by 15 February 2025 35. Assist on the preparation of the final project report - by 28 February 2025. 36. Deliver a monitoring report on jobs created for all participants - by 28 February 2025.

Duties and Responsibilities

BACKGROUND: Established in 1964, the International Trade Centre (ITC) is the joint technical cooperation agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization (WTO) in charge of the sustainable promotion of trade and in particular of exports from developing countries and economies in transition. The goal of the ITC is to make businesses in developing countries more competitive in global markets, accelerate economic development and contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Thus, the organization contributes to the creation of jobs at the level of segments of agricultural value chains and promising services, especially for young people and women. This post is located within the Women, Youth and Vulnerable Communities (WYVC) section in the Division of Sustainable and Inclusive Trade (DSIT). Funded by the European Union delegation in Uganda, the new “Opportunities are Here” project will provide young talents in front of and behind the camera with tailored mentoring, networking opportunities, and media exposure, and generate new trade capacity and export opportunities in the film sector in Uganda. The project primarily targets young creatives in Uganda and is designed to incubate and accelerate their talents through specialised training in the film industry giving participants the opportunity to acquire competencies and gain competitive advantage in the marketplace, locally, regionally, and internationally. This job description relates to The Opportunities are Here (OaH) in the film industry in Uganda, which requires a community engagement advisor and contestants’ coach for the second season of the project. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Programme Officer and the guidance of the OAH team, the Consultant will: 1. Participate in weekly meetings with the ITC project management to provide updates, monitor progress, and ensure deliverables are executed on time by the appointed communication agency, media partners and all parties involved. 2. Manage a smooth execution of the marketing campaign as per marketing plan liaising with all parties. 3. Advise on possible activities and criteria for the selection of the contestants. 4. Manage and supervise the contestants’ performances, trainings and requested activities and deliverables. 5. Maintain the OAH ecosystem database updated throughout the project. 6. Keep the database with contestants’ data and scoring updated throughout the competition. 7. Project reporting & beneficiaries data analysis: Gather and analyse data on beneficiaries' participation and programme impact, in line with the reporting metrics for the programme. 8. Final report for the OAH season 2 marketing campaign. Copyright Clause: The Consultant has to ensure that s/he has obtained the necessary permissions with regard to intellectual property rights required to perform his/her services under this consultancy contract and for the subsequent dissemination by ITC in any form. Documentary proof is to be submitted to ITC. Should any license fee be due for the use of copyrighted materials of third parties, the Consultant shall request prior written permission from ITC. S/he has further to ensure to obtain accreditation to event(s), if required. Qualifications/special skills

Undergraduate degree (BA/BSC or other) in Journalism/Communications or similar. Extensive relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the university degree. 3 years of work experience. Experience in communication and marketing strategy. Experience in production management (preferably film industry). Film production & Photography. Creative direction. Production management & Event management.
