Result of Service- Prepare and develop a work plan and schedule in accordance with the contractual object and responsibilities provided. - Organize the file, applying the documentary reference tables approved for ARMS - Carry out the cleansing of the physical and electronic archives. - Prepare the transfer of documents to the general archive in NY. - Develop reports and presentations for each product. - Document lessons learnt and good practices of the process in order to draft operational guidelines. - The other obligations that are required for the full fulfillment of the contractual object

Expected duration 6 months

Duties and Responsibilities Centralize, classify, organize, dispose, and manage official and non-official archives of the Mission, adopting the policies, strategies, methodologies, principles, standards, procedures, and mechanisms established for this purpose, according to the policies and standards of Information Management Unit in NY associated to the Peace and Security Pillar (IMU/DPPA-DPO), Archives and Records Management Section (ARMS-NY) and the UN Data strategy; and develop a process to systematize official archives within UNVMC.

Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in archiving, library science, document management, records management, social sciences, information management, data science, engineering, or related field.

A first-level university degree and two (2) additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of proven experience in archiving and document management.

Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the consultancy, fluency in English and Spanish (both oral and written) is required.

NOTE: "fluency equals a rating of "fluent" in all four areas (read, write, speak, understand) and "Knowledge of" equals a rating of "confident" in two of the four areas.
