Expected duration 6 months (between 25 March 2022 and 24 September 2022)

Duties and Responsibilities Under the guidance of the team at UN RCO, the Consultant will support the development of a wall mural in a way that the UN Maldives team can complete the mural, creating an opportunity for the UN Development System to come together and show our commitment to achieving a resilient and sustainable future for the Maldives. Specifically, we require the consultant to undertake the following responsibilities:

1. Finalize the theme for the mural in consultation with UN Resident Coordinators Office 2. Develop and design the concept for the murals to be displayed on the public wall (outdoor), in line with UN core values and principles 3. Purchase all equipment required for utilization to complete the mural 4. Draw/paint the main components of the mural on the wall in Male’ 5. Provide the number/colour codes for blank spaces which can be followed accordingly by approximately 100 UN staff to complete the mural. 6. Assist with the finishing touches once the staff event is complete

Qualifications/special skills Competency: - Well-proven and demonstrated capacity and experience in the field of creative arts - Proven experience and technical expertise in similar assignments will be an advantage - Well-proven and demonstrated creativity and highly engaging products - Ability to set clear time plans and well-scheduled work processes - Demonstrate an understanding of the humanitarian and development context of the country and be aware of cultural sensitivities in the given context

Academic Qualifications: Completion of secondary education

Experience: - At least 1 year of experience in providing services for similar projects. - Experience in providing services for development-related agencies and projects will be an advantage - Demonstrate an understanding of the development context of the country and be aware of cultural sensitivities in the given context.

Language: Fluency in written and spoken English and Dhivehi
