You have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context, particularly in project start-up.
- B.A degree in social and protection science, preferably in Law or political sciences.
- Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
- Extensive technical experience to manage general protection program, Protection case management, and community-based protection programs.
- Documented experience in multiple sectors/CCs project startups.
- Experience with protection case management (general protection case management preferred, GBV or CP case management acceptable).
- Experience working with case management databases and ability to analyse and integrate information from a wide range of sources (Database, reports).
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities
What we are looking for
NRC Iraq is looking for a Multi-CC Project Manager who will oversee implementation of multiple core competency projects for the South-Central Area Office. They will be responsible for project management (ensuring the projects are implemented in line with Project Cycle Management (PCM) framework) and managing CC staff dedicated to the project, to ensure the project work plans, M&E work plans, and procurement plans are developed and adhered to. They will have a representational role in terms of developing close and collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders for successfully project deliverables as well as where feasible representing NRC in relevant local coordination forums. Additionally, they will take the lead on developing timely and quality reporting to project donors and supporting proposal development for identified new funding opportunities.

What you will do
The role will have some of the following responsibilities:
- Provide regular progress reports to the AM and the PDMs and promote and share ideas for improvement and recommend necessary changes in activities.
- Ensure that key learnings are extracted from the projects and incorporated into program strategy and staff development processes.
- Promote the rights of IDPs. Returnees hosts and refugees in line with the advocacy strategy
- Establish mechanisms and processes which facilitates coordinated ways of working amongst individuals and teams related to the project(s)
- Take actions to ensure appropriate and predictable context understanding across the project,
- Providing technical supervision and guidance to PfV staff on case management, including approving / reject the cases, reviewing/ approving case plans, authorizing cash / in-kind assistance, and approving case closure to ensure quality and compliance with protection standards.
- Monthly data analysis and spot checks for protection case management databases / archive are conducted to monitor progress, identify trends in protection risks, unmet needs, and other concerns. Findings are shared with the Protection PDM, AM, and relevant actors to enhance response planning and program effectiveness.
- Take the primary lead in conducting Protection assessments and Protection risk analysis to identify appropriate protection interventions aimed at enhancing the resilience of local and communities in the target areas.
- Any other relevant tasks as assigned by the reporting lines.

What you will bring

- Experience working with government, local authorities, humanitarian actors, host community and displaced populations (IDPs, Returnees and Refugees).
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

- Duty station: South Central Area Office.
- Contract: Fixed term till April 30th, 2026.
- Travel: 50% in areas of operation.
- Salary/benefits: Grade 8 on NRC Iraq’s national salary scale.
