You have:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sector area working for an NGO
  • University degree in the related field or equivalent (Finance, Accounting)
  • Fluent in Ukrainian and Russian, advanced English is preferred but not required
  • Good skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Commitment to learning and implementing organizational policies and procedures
  • Field experience and knowledge of the area are preferred but not required

Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is an international non-governmental organization, which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people all over the world.

DRC Ukraine is looking for a highly qualified MPCA Assistant based in Dnipro.

Overall purpose of the role

  • Provides administrative or technical support within the sector area.
  • Assist the sector officer in ensuring the quality of the planning, implementation, and follow-up of sector activities.
  • Support distribution activities.

Main responsibilities:

Administrative and technical support

  • Carry out basic tasks within sector area (e.g. data collection).
  • Carry out administrative tasks including preparing documents, securing and organizing documents.
  • Follow given work plans and guidelines.

Programming & Operations

  • Support efficient and effective programme implementation.
  • Participate in assessment visits and assist in conducting interviews with beneficiaries.
  • Participate in preparing monthly/quarterly/annual highlights/reports.

Coordination and representation

  • Collaborate with relevant internal and external technical experts on sector relevant issues.
  • Assist senior staff members to represent DRC at meetings and other relevant technical coordination meetings.
  • Assist in ensuring integration with other DRC sectors.

Logistics/Finance

  • Assist in preparing reconciliations.
  • Provide information to the Finance team about the service provided.
  • Support coordination with logistics documents and arranging transport for the team with support from the logistic team.

Required experience and competencies:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sector area working for an NGO
  • University degree in the related field or equivalent (Finance, Accounting)
  • Commitment to learning and implementing organizational policies and procedures
  • Good skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Languages: fluent in Ukrainian and Russian, advanced English is preferred but not required.
  • Field experience and knowledge of the area are preferred but not required.

We offer:

Contract length: 3 months with the possibility of extension based on successful probation.

Level I

Start date: August 2022

The application is open for Ukraine citizens only. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National Staff.
