You have:
- A first-level university degree/diploma in any stream.
- A minimum of seven years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in undertaking business analysis and preparing relevant documents.
- Experience in web development including PHP, HTML, Javascript/jQuery and CSS.
- Core PHP, Moodle, CSS, MySQL, HTML, JQuery, Javascript, Ajax experience required.
- Experience in data management and query building using MySQL and other RDBMS.
- Experience in XML data structures and Web services.
- Good command of English is required.

Duties and Responsibilities The UN’s Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT) defines the strategic direction for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to the UN Secretariat. It oversees ICT programs, budgets, and decision-making to align with the Secretariat’s overall ICT strategy. We are looking for a passionate Moodle Expert, and he/she will be responsible for the Business Analysis, Technical Documentation, Developing Moodle Architecture/Design, and providing production support. Within delegated authority and in close cooperation with the Software Production Coordinator, the Moodle Expert will be responsible for the Duties and Responsibilities mentioned below:
Undertake requirement gathering and perform business analysis. Design architecture and support/mentor a team of developers for production of an enterprise-level learning management systems using Moodle as a base. Design and guide on the implementation of a multi-tenancy scalable LMS architecture Support with Integration of various APIs and web services with Moodle Design, review and guide with the implementation of custom bespoke dashboards Provide guidance and support with integrating Moodle with external systems like Auth0, Microsoft Azure, Liveperson, LinkedIn, Google API, and others Evaluation current Moodle implementations and advise on ways to improve their performance and security. Develop and manage internal and external technical documentation. Ensures assets/data security and integrity.
