The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer is a core member of the project management team at the federal level and in the six project states of Adamawa, Bayelsa, Enugu, Katsina, Oyo and Plateau. S/he will work with the project team and partners to develop a robust Monitoring & Evaluation system including logical frameworks and ensure tracking of the programme’s results at different levels (activity, output, and outcome impact). Specifically, the incumbent will: Long Description ---------------- **Monitoring and Evaluation procedures** - Support with the development of M&E workplans following the logical frameworks. - Develop M&E dashboards and data visualization for the project to ensure that updated and accurate results (including data analysis) are accessible internally and for external sharing (e.g. EU, UNCT, EDPG, NEG etc…) - Support the development of a standardized reporting mechanism to be used by all Implementation Partners. - Develop a Feedback Mechanism for the intervention. - Continuously strengthen and recommend further improvements in the existing M&E system, processes, and tools. - Ensure that the project team and partners at the Federal and State levels have clear understanding of the M&E system, processes, and tools. - Support the process of Annual School Census and the collection of Education data at the Federal and State and levels. - Support beneficiary states to achieve timely and quality reporting to the Education Management System in Nigeria. - Work with partners, particularly TRCN, UBEC, NEMIS to ensure up to date documentation of data on teachers as it concerns the project states and at the National level. - Support UNESCO Education programme and projects assessment and evaluation process in Nigeria. - Monitor contextual updates, keep abreast of new M&E approaches and tools and engage in relevant coordination/information-sharing meetings as required to inform the project. - Participate in relevant M&E Working Groups (e.g. UN M&E Group, UNSDCF Result group on Education and Data; and FME Data Repository group etc) and other required internal and external meetings. - Ensure timely entering of UNESCO Education data in the UNinfo portal.
