About Project Rozana: Project Rozana is a non-profit international organization dedicated to developing and implementing health diplomacy projects that promote cooperation and understanding between Israelis and Palestinians. Our mission is to improve the lives of individuals in the region by leveraging health as a platform for dialogue and cooperation. Through our programs and initiatives, we aim to build bridges, foster trust, and create positive change in the healthcare sector.

Position Overview: Project Rozana is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation and learning officer to work with our director of health management and research and the rest of PR team to support our ongoing efforts in collecting valuable survey data from project participants and gathering personal stories to strengthen our communications and outreach. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the organization's projects are effective, impactful, and aligned with our mission.

Reporting and Supervision: The MEL officer will report to the director of Health management and Research.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Data Collection and Analysis:    - Conduct surveys, focus groups and interviews with project participants, including healthcare professionals, patients, and community members.    - Assist in developing data collection tools and methodologies.    - Assist in analyzing survey data and provide insights to inform program improvements.

  1. Personal Storytelling:    - Interview project participants to collect and document through images and video, personal stories and testimonials that illustrate the impact of Project Rozana's initiatives.    - Create compelling narratives and content that can be used for organizational communication, marketing, and fundraising efforts.    - Ensure the privacy and consent of individuals sharing their stories.

  2. Reporting and Documentation:    - Compile and maintain detailed records of survey data and personal stories.    - Assist in preparing reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.    - Help track project progress and outcomes.

    • Report on Salesforce, DIS and other platforms when needed.
  3. Collaboration and Communication:    - Work closely with the regional operations team and especially the Director of Research.    - Collaborate with the communications team to integrate personal stories into organizational materials and campaigns.    - Communicate findings and insights effectively within the organization.

Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., public health, social sciences, international relations). - 4 years of experience with INGO, and 2+ years of specific experience related to Monitoring and Evaluation. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools/software. - Ability to conduct interviews and gather personal stories sensitively and ethically. - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. - Commitment to promoting cooperation and understanding between Israelis and Palestinians. - Experience in working on USAID or similar internationally funded programs is a plus. - Experience in Salesforce is a plus. - Proficient in English for both oral and written communication. - Proficient in Arabic and Hebrew for oral communication.

KPIs: Data Collection and Analysis: 1. Survey Completion Rate: Percentage of surveys and interviews successfully completed out of the total number planned. 2. Data Quality: Accuracy and completeness of collected data, measured through data validation checks. 3. Data Analysis Turnaround Time: Average time taken to analyze survey data and provide insights. Personal Storytelling: 1. Storytelling Output: Number of personal stories collected and transformed into usable narratives. 2. Story Impact: Assess the reach and engagement of personal stories in organizational communication, e.g., views, shares, and comments on social media or website. 3. Storytelling Consistency: Regularity in sourcing and sharing personal stories to support organizational communications efforts. Reporting and Documentation: 1. Report Timeliness: Adherence to deadlines for preparing reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. 2. Report Quality: Feedback from stakeholders on the clarity, relevance, and usefulness of reports. 3. Documentation Accuracy: Ensuring that records of survey data and personal stories are complete, well-organized, and easily retrievable. Collaboration and Communication: 1. Team Collaboration: Assessment of the ability to work effectively with project teams and other departments. 2. Communication Effectiveness: Feedback from colleagues on the clarity and usefulness of communicated findings and insights. 3. Alignment with Project Goals: Demonstrated alignment of data collection and analysis efforts with project goals and objectives. Project Impact: 1. Project Improvement: Evidence of how collected data and insights have contributed to project improvements or adjustments. 2. Storytelling Impact: Measure the impact of personal stories in influencing stakeholders, raising awareness, or attracting support for Project Rozana's initiatives. Ethical Compliance: Ethical Data Collection: Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and consent procedures during data collection and personal storytelling. Professional Development: Training and Skill Enhancement: Participation in relevant training and professional development opportunities to improve data collection and storytelling skills. Stakeholder Feedback: Stakeholder Satisfaction: Gather feedback from project participants, beneficiaries, and partners on their experience with data collection and storytelling efforts. Innovation and Creativity: Introduction of Innovative Practices: Identify and implement innovative approaches to data collection, analysis, or storytelling that enhance the effectiveness of the role.
