Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocate and promote durable solutions for displacement affected populations.

DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently employing over 650 staff to implement emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.

DRC is currently looking for a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Partnerships Officer to join the team in Kyiv.

About the job

Conduct monitoring activities, communicate information, gather data from the field and follow up on activities in order to get feedback on the quality and relevance of assistance delivered in partnerships. Analyze data and write reports.

This role has a country focus and ensures compliance to DRC’s procedures and guidelines for partnerships within the country. The role contributes to the development of country strategies, which are translated into action plans and day-to-day tasks. The role provides support and/or technical guidance to country operations while overseeing country activities.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be

Monitoring and evaluation activities:

  • Support in conducting participatory monitoring activities with DRC partners using a varied suite of tools
  • Support the development of data collection methodology and tools for partners
  • Regularly undertake field monitoring visits of partner activities
  • Ensure the high quality of data by ensuring the accurate data collection, data entry and upload as well as basic analysis of information through support and capacity building to partners
  • Ensure timely reporting on monitoring activities in line with work plans and project timeline
  • Provide regular verbal and written feedback on field observations and monitoring findings to the Monitoring & Evaluation Manager and relevant program staff

About you

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience – preferably in social work, community development, non-governmental organizations, or civil society.
  • Experience working with NGOs and/or the humanitarian sector, and use of data collection tools, especially working with partners
  • Knowledge/experience with Monitoring & Evaluation specifically, information management or accountability
  • Excellent skill in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis practices and tools
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Fluency in local language

Required education:

University degree in relevant field (development or social research preferably with a focus on monitoring and evaluation as well as compliance issues) or equivalent professional qualification

  • Contract length: 12 months (3 months’ probation period as fixed-term contract)
