About the job:

Under the management of the MEAL manager, The Accountability Assistant will be responsible for conducting accountability activities, communication with beneficiaries and overall, MEAL support in Libya. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  1. Collect unsolicited beneficiary feedback on helpdesk in the office or as a roving beneficiary intake person during assistance distributions and mobile visits.
  2. Record, process and respond to beneficiary programmatic feedback and complaints pertaining to DRC.
  3. Provide accurate advice to beneficiaries about DRC programs, activities and services as communities request information through DRC hotlines or other formalized complaints and feedback modalities.
  4. Coordinate internally with communicate with CFM focal points from projects to resolve issues, document actions taken and mark cases as closed.
  5. Ensure timely feedback to beneficiaries (where required) regarding complaints and ensure they are appropriately managed, acknowledged and followed up as per internal workflow processes.
  6. Support in conducting field monitoring activities
  7. Support in conducting monitoring calls.
  8. Support in data gathering where necessary
  9. Produce Monthly and annual Accountability reports on achievements and challenges and other relevant information related to accountability.

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to be a team player with good communication skills. Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required

  • Minimum 1 year of experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and summarize it for a range of different audiences.
  • Ability to build support from staff across teams and across members, and to build the capacity of others.
  • Proven ability to coordinate effective resource allocation to ensure quality programmes.

Desirable

  • Experience of working within budget constraints.
  • Experience of qualitative research techniques
  • Capacity to ensure beneficiaries are treated with respect, confidentiality and informed consent
