KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

Under the direct supervision of Programme Associate and overall supervision by the Programme Policy Officer, Head of Programme in WFP Maungdaw field office, the incumbent will perform the following duties:-

• Make the proper plan and collect the data of the responsible area in terms of area profile and school feeding related activities, including the targeting exercises in other activities.
• Plan and conduct monitoring visits to all the targeted schools in the assigned area and provide necessary supports to the teachers and communities, including SFMC formation as per guidelines.
• Plan and deliver commodities to the targeted schools every month and confirm the receipt with the right quantity. Forecast the preceding challenges on delivery and have alternative measures.
• Make the proper plan to increase community awareness on school feeding programme and receive feedback from the community and respond accordingly;
• Coordinate with M&E team on the visit plan to avoid overlap and gap. Follow up the referred findings from M&E and review for the appropriate actions.
• Monitor and review the overall commodity movements such as food deliveries, storage, transport and distribution at the site and verify if the amounts received have been properly recorded, stocked, damaged or suspected to be damaged;
• Supervise the efficient distribution food items at the site and ensure proper distribution of entitlements and verify appropriate entitlements are distributed and provide feedback to supervisors and others on related matters;
• Assist to conduct regular meetings with community leaders, implementation partners, and school Headmaster or Headmistress on the targeting, distribution arrangements, food entitlements and other relevant issues;
• Facilitate SF focal persons and teachers for food distribution under Covid-19 prevention measures and submission of monthly reports on time in the areas and assist the supervisor in preparation of monthly distribution report by compiling data;
• Assist in the implementation of the plan of action, review achievement and constraints and provide feedback accordingly;
• Report periodically to the management on relevant events regarding food management, distribution and other related issues;
• Identify any apparent issues in the programme and report them to the appropriate personnel;
• Supervise and train other personnel as appropriate;
• Perform other related duties as required;

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

• Completion of secondary education. Relevant post-secondary qualification will be an added advantage.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Four or more years of responsible programme experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office skills in Excel and PowerPoint.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Experience in the following areas is an advantage.

• Has worked with communities implementing humanitarian relief programmes.
• Has contributed to data collection and management in the implementation of programmes.

LANGUAGE

• Good written and oral skills in English required.
