KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
Under the direct supervision of Programme Associate, Programme Policy Officer (NOA), Programme Policy Officer (UNV) and overall supervision of Head of Sub-Office, the incumbent will perform the following duties:
- Make the proper plan and to collect the data of responsible area in terms of area profile and other activities;
- Design and plan for conducting timely relief targeting exercise and eligible household identification in the project area;
- Plan timely food distribution for the relief activities and ensure the distributions are organized as planned;
- Ensure all the implementation by the partners are in line with WFP operation guidelines and standard;
- Ensure all the FDPs, storage and other food distribution facilities are established in order to provide effective service delivery to the Assist to conduct regular meetings with community leaders and implementing partners on the targeting, distribution arrangements, food entitlements and other relevant issues;
- Report periodically to the Supervisor on relevant events regarding food management, distribution and other related issues;
- Assist Supervisor in compilation of all data for plan and distribution for the monthly report;
- Train CPs staff in assessment and implementation;
- Perform other related duties as required;
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- Completion of secondary education. Relevant post-secondary qualification will be an added advantage.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Four or more years of responsible programme experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Experience in the following areas is an advantage.
- Has worked with communities implementing humanitarian relief programmes.
- Has contributed to data collection and management in the implementation of programmes.
- Ability to collect both qualitative and quantitative data and use various tools for collection and reporting.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision while working in remote parts of the country.
- Ability to produce accurate data and reports.
LANGUAGE
- Good written and oral skills in English required.
