Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

Cabo Verde's Framework for Sustainable Development Cooperation 2023-2027 (UNCF 23-27) guides the planning and implementation of products set out in the Joint Work Plans, which are presented to the Government during annual Steering Committees. The drafting of the JWP involves national counterparts and is signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. In 2023 and 2024, the JPW presented advances that contributed to the sustainable development of the country.
In 2025, with the arrival of the third year of implementation of the UNCF, the UNCT considered it pertinent to carry out a review of the performance of the UNCF 2023 – 2027, even though there is no formal request for a mid-period review. To this end, the UN Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Learning (MERL) group was activated in order to advise the Resident Coordination Office to carry out this exercise.

We are looking for 2 Online Volunteers who, under the immediate supervision of UN Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Learning Group, are asked to support with the Cabo Verde’s UNCF 2023 – 2027 performance review of United Nations Country Team (UNCT) by performing the following responsibilities:

  • Desk analysis related to the UNCF 2023-2027 and its respective Joint Work Plans, UNCT annual reports, other documents relevant to the topic.
  • Be familiar with the Roadmap/Checklist for the Mid-Term UNCF 2023-2027 Adapted Performance Review and the standard agenda for Strategic Priority (SP) Group meetings.
  • Prepare a report structure based on the script/checklist for the Mid-Term UNCF 2023-2027 Adapted Performance Review.
  • Participate in and prepare reports on meetings to be convened by the Strategic Priority groups based on a preliminary analysis of related documents and the application of the UNCF 2023-2027 roadmap/performance checklist.
  • Consolidate the results of the 3 SP groups meetings to compose the Mid-Term UNCF 2023-2027 Adapted Performance Review report, identifying UN added value, synergies, overlaps, and gaps, including conclusions, recommendations, and lessons learned.
  • Prepare the necessary documentation for the validation of the result of the application of the roadmap/checklist and the documentary review of the strategic priorities of the UNCF 2023-2027 by the UNCT: organized repository folder with the documents used, executive summary, ppt etc

The beginning of the collaboration with the volunteers for this position is schedule for 18th August.
